Sarah “Blondie” Davis, age 70 of Naylor, Georgia, died Sunday, June 6, 2021 at her residence. Blondie was born on June 21, 1950, in Naylor, Georgia to the late Mary White Monk and Dallas David Cook, Sr. She was employed by the Lanier County Board of Education as a Bus Driver and to this day her former students refer to her as “Mrs. Dent”. She was an avid dirt track lover and loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby and Tillman Stone, Glenette Simpson; a brother, Dallas David Cook, Jr. (Buddy); a nephew, Gene Maine (Little Driver).
Survivors include: her husband William R. (Bill) Davis, Jr. of Naylor, Georgia; Pets, Snowball and Roxy; daughters and sons-in-law: Peggy and Norman Livingston of Stockton, Georgia, Billie Tichy and Shawn Wilkins of Naylor, Georgia; grandchildren: Teighlor Livingston, Sara Livingston, Zachary Tichy, and Caitlin Tichy; stepchildren: Christopher Johnson and Jessica Smith, David Helms, Tonya Martini; sister-in-law: Diane Davis and John Bridges; brother and sister-in-law: Pat and Joyce Davis; Brother, Tim Cook. Very special friends, Papa Ben Livingston, Betty Brown, Pearlie Ponder, Michelle Leigh, Wanda Thompson, Vera Wright and Mary Helen Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 O’clock P.M., Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Music Funeral Services, Lakeland Chapel. The family will greet and receive friends from 1:00 O’clock P.M until 2:00 O’clock P.M. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
