Sarah Coretha Smith

Sarah Coretha Smith – 87 of Lakeland, GA passed away on Monday September 7, 2020 in Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness. She was born in Nashville, GA to the late Nancy and James Wiggins. Coretha was a devoted homemaker and caregiver to her husband and children. She enjoyed shopping, dancing and fishing. She was well loved at Coastal Manor Nursing Home in Ludowici, GA. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Smith and sister, Mildred Bennett, brothers, Henry Wiggins, Elmer Wiggins and J.C. Wiggins.
Survivors include her children: Shirley Lindsey and husband, Lester of Naylor, GA, James “Buddy” Smith of Naylor, GA, Charlie Smith and wife, Rosemary of Ringgold, GA; Peggy Stone and husband, Jeffery of Midway, GA, 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; Brother, Billy Wiggins and wife, Margaret of Naylor, GA; Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the funeral home. Kind messages and memories may be left to the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
