Scott Owen Duncan – 75
Of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born on February 11, 1947 in Thomasville, GA to the late Frances & Maedell (Palmer) Duncan. He worked with Alltel in Live Oak, FL as a Budget Engineer for over 16 years. Scott’s passion was woodworking. After retirement from Alltel, he owned and operated Duncan’s Cabinet & Furniture Repair. Scott served his country proudly in the United States Navy as a Seabees Specialist and was a member of the American Legion Post #13. He was a member of the First Assembly of God. He was man that chased after God’s heart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by special aunts Elaine Reaves and Elizabeth Smith.
Survivors include:
Beloved wife of 47 years, Linda Dale Duncan of Valdosta, Georgia; 2 sons: Joey Duncan of Valdosta, Georgia and Jason Todd Duncan (Deann Hardee Duncan )of Valdosta, Georgia; grandchildren: Patrick Todd Duncan, Germany and Owen Cole Duncan, Valdosta, Georgia; sister, Portia Dell Wilkinson (John), Atlanta, Georgia; and a number of nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 28, 2022 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
