Shelly Annette Remington, age 61, of Hahira, Georgia, passed away at South Georgia Medical Center on August 21, 2024. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on October 2, 1962, to the late Halleck and Margaret (Edwards) Remington. Shelly was known for her cooking, gamesmanship, and love of all things elephant. Shelly loved to cook, and one of her favorite foods was tacos. She left behind her ham and cheese recipe; however, she did not leave behind her Frito Pie recipe, which her children enjoyed. She often enjoyed a game of Racko and would wipe the floor with anyone playing with her! Along with Racko, she also enjoyed playing Yahtzee and watching true crime episodes. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Jackie Lynn.
Survivors include her beloved furry baby Maggie, daughter Jackie Ray Matthews and husband Mark of Shelton, Washington; son Albert Jolley and wife Jennifer of Hahira, Georgia; son Lee Jolley of Valdosta, Georgia; grandchildren: Kyra, Lilyana, Taelon, Tana, Noah; great-grandchild Mateo. Sister Michelle Baldy and husband James of Shelton, Washington; brothers Jerry of Shelton, Washington, and Bill and Rick Remington, both of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Shelly's love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated, with inurnment to follow, at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira, Georgia. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at
