Shirley Louise Kennedy - 73

Of Valdosta passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 at her residence following a short illness. A native of Coeburn, VA, she was born on September 12, 1936 to the late Archie Columbus Smith and Beulah Maggie Dollarhide Smith. The widow of the late Carry B. Kennedy, she was a homemaker and a member of the Azalea City Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Enoch Smith and Claude Eugene Smith; a sister, Phyllis Ann Fields; 2 nephews, Richie Vinson and Charles Vinson; and a niece, Patricia Ann Adams.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 6, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Rev. Douglas Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
