Shirley Quackenbos – 64

Of Valdosta, GA passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2013 in Langdale Hospice House. She was born on March 19, 1948 in Vero Beach, FL to the late Grovine and Louise Weldon Stalvey. She worked in the Accounting Department of Northern Trust of Vero Beach, FL, and was a loving mother and grandmother. She would give you the shirt off her back if you were in need. She was a beautiful, gracious, kind-hearted woman who saw the good when nobody else could. Her laugh made the world smile and her presence lit up a room. She was loved beyond what words can express. She will be missed dearly and forever. Ms. Quackenbos was preceded in death by a sister, Annette Cayson, and a brother, Bobby Stalvey.

As per her wishes, she will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 16, 2013 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services.
