She was born April 7, 1942 to the late Herman and Ivy Smith Compton in Tazwell County, Va and retired from the cigar factory in Tampa Florida. Ms. Ross was a member of the Eastern Star and was Baptist by faith and was preceded in death by her husband Harry Lamar Ross

As per her wishes she will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 10:00 in the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
