Sonia G. Rozier

Sonia G. Rozier – 77 of Valdosta passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at Holly Hill Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 13, 1941 to the late Lavern & Ruby (Tomlinson) Scurrey in Stockton, Ga. Ms. Rozier was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church. She did the clothes closet at Park Avenue and lead crafts at Holly Hill Nursing Home. She worked as the book keeper for NAPA for many years. Ms. Rozier enjoyed cooking & entering in the Valdosta Cookbook competition and working with her flowers. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin A. Rozier, sister & brother-in-law, Ann & Robert Bennett.
Survivors Include: Daughter: Teresa Virginia Rozier, Asheville, NC; Granddaughter: Shasta Rozier, Asheville, NC; Sister: Verna Looney, Valdosta; Brother & Sister-in-law: Judy and Madison A. Scurrey, Valdosta; Nieces & Nephews: Shannon and Michael Hicks & Tammy and Charles Highsmith and a number of great nieces and nephews
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 1, 2018 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. A private burial will be held at Wayfare Cemetery.
