Stanley Leroy Shaw – 64
Of Valdosta passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 in the Veterans Medical Clinic in Lake City, FL after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 8, 1945 in Manatee County, FL to Myrtie Padgett Swilley and the late Henry James Shaw. Mr. Shaw served in the United States Army and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Live Oak, FL. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting.
Along with his mother he is survived by his, Brothers & Sisters-in-law, James & Judy Shaw, Valdosta, GA, Lamar & Lucille Swilley, Barney, GA, Sister, Faye Rogers, Kentucky, Several Nieces and Nephews
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. As per Mr. Shaw's wishes he will be cremated following the services.
