Stephen "Steve" Dasher Sr.

Stephen (Steve) S. Dasher, Sr. 63, of Lake Park, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, March 12 surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. He was born on November 26, 1955 in Valdosta, GA to the late Sidney and Glennette Dasher.
Steve retired from Lowndes County Public Works in November of 2017 after 22 years of service. He loved fishing, camping, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He also loved continuing his Daddy’s legacy of making Dashers good old country sausage. But Steve’s greatest love of all, was his family.
Steve leaves his devoted and loving wife of 43 years, Jenene Bolton Dasher, sons Stephen (Jessica) Dasher, Jr. of Lake Park, Jeffrey (Katherine) Dasher of Lake Park, granddaughters Alexis Dasher, Jaycee Dasher, and Emma Dasher, Beloved sister Mary (Steve) Bridges of Lake Park, Ann (Scott) Mizell of Oglethorpe, GA, sisters in law Diane Bolton of Lake Park, Cathy (Mike) Gravitt of Mason, Ohio, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents LJ and Aline Dasher, Ernest and Mary Storey.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Joe Howell Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations please be made to Hospice of South Georgia 2263 Pineview Drive Valdosta, GA 31602.
