Steve Basson

Of Naylor, passed away at his residence Wednesday, September 9, 2009 after a lengthy illness. He was born August 4, 1928 in Old Memphis, Alabama to the late Robert Lee, Sr. & Slona Gertrude Upton Basson. He was a Barber and owner of Basson Hunting Supplies in Naylor, Georgia and member of the Alapaha Hunting Club and Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Park, Georgia. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Basson Johnson and Ozell Shelton, a brother, Robert Lee Basson, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Gaskins Cemetery in Berrien County, Georgia. Contribution may be made to the Bethany Hospice, 2517 Bemiss Rd, Suite D, Valdosta, GA 31602The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, September 11, 2009 from 6 – 8 p.m.
