Steve Johnson

Steve Johnson – 61 of Stockton, GA passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 6, 1956 in Valdosta, GA to the late Frank and Leatha (McLeod) Johnson. Steve retired from the Lowndes County Board of Education after 29 years of service maintaining the heating and air. Not being able to sit still, he continued his HVAC career working for himself. When not working he could be found with a fishing pole in his hand on a bass pond somewhere. He also enjoyed grilling and outdoor gatherings with family and friends. Steve was very active in numerous bass clubs in the area.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Johnson of Stockton, GA; sons, Steven Johnson Jr of Valdosta, GA, Dave Anderson (Lynette) of Lake Park, GA; grandchildren: Savannah Anderson “Boo”and Averie Anderson “Taz”; fur babies, Tandy and Mic; brothers, Frank Johnson (Lisa) of Valdosta, GA, Beaver Johnson (Betty) of Valdosta, GA; sister, Dale Johnson of Lake Park, GA; special brother & niece, Charlie and Katrina Gyr “Bug”of Lakeland, GA and nephew, Davis Gyr “Little G”.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Wayfare Cemetery, Echols County. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
