Of Valdosta passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born April 6, 1946 in Spencer, WV to the late Leonard and Rosa Monroe. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bill Lipscomb, Sister-in-law, Ann Monroe, and a brother in law, Daryl Powell
He is survived by: Wife of 47 years: Norma Jean Monroe, of Valdosta, GA; 2 Daughters and Sons in Law: Felicia (Jeff) Frazier, of Valdosta, GA, and Kristin (Kyle) Crocker, of Fitzgerald, GA; 3 Grandsons: Jonathan Patterson, Dustin Crocker, and Riley Crocker; Sister: Ruth Ann Powell, of Canton, OH; Brother: George (Linda) Monroe, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Special family members; Julie Monroe, Glen Monroe, and Tony Patterson and numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at New Life Church 7505 Zeigler Road Lake Park, GA on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Keith Allsbrook will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the church or to the family directly.
