SUSAN JEAN CARTER, 42
Of Ray City passed away at home on Monday, May 28, 2012 after a short illness. She was born August 19, 1969 in Sidney, OH and graduated in 1987 from Fort Wayne Christian School in Fort Wayne, IN. She resided in the Nashville/Ray City area for the past 18 years.
She is survived by her, Mother, Sherrell Clifford of Ray City, father Thomas Carin Maxwell of Fort Wayne. Susan was a loving daughter and devoted mother of her four children who survive her: daughters Melisa Carter of Tifton, Cheryl Carter of Nashville, Katy Carter of Valdosta and a son, Matthew Carter also of Valdosta. A brother, Michael-Jon Sarah Maxwell of Fort Wayne and grandmother Susie Maxwell of Jackson Center, OH also survive. She is preceded in death by a brother Eric Maxwell of Jackson Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 1, 2012 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with entombment to follow in Greenlawn. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 323 Pine Avenue, Suite 100, Albany, GA 31701 or Hospice Care Options, 121 North Cherry Street, Ocilla, GA. 31774
