Sydni Walker – 15

Of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was born June 21, 2000, in Valdosta, GA to Tony and Terri Walker. She was attending Crosspointe Church in Valdosta, and she was an active member of the youth group of Soloman's Porch. She will always be remembered by her smile and fun loving personality. She was a very active teenager, serving in various areas in Lowndes High School some to include: JV Cheerleader, Key Club, Anchor Club, Beta Club, Class Cabinet, Bat Girl, and FCA. She loved all of her hobbies, but just simply spending time with family & friends, reading and writing bible verses and watching the University of Georgia Bulldogs Football on TV were her favorites. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Wayne Gaskins, and paternal grandmother, Ruby Nell Walker.

Survivors include her parents, Tony & Terri Walker, Valdosta, GA; brother, Bryce Walker, Valdosta, GA; maternal grandmother, Helen Gaskins, Hahira, GA; paternal grandfather, Carlton Walker, Valdosta, GA; uncles, Wayne Gaskins, Jr., Hahira, GA, Raymond Walker, Hahira, GA, & Eric Walker, Valdosta, GA; aunts and uncles, Diane and Keith Reese, Valdosta, GA, Amiee Godwin, Valdosta, GA, and Jackie Atkins, Atlanta, GA; special great aunt, Shirley Ambrose, The Villages, FL; and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who she loved as a family.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Crosspointe Church with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. To help celebrate the life of Sydni friends are asked to wear either University of Georgia colors, Lowndes Viking colors or bright colors to the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
