Sylvia Denice Barrett

Sylvia Denice Barrett, age 69, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was born on July 5, 1956, in Climax, GA, to parents Carson Levi Sapp and Frances Strickland Malloy.

She was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy was caring for her family and placing their needs above her own. A gifted cook, she expressed her love through the meals she prepared, delighting in bringing everyone together around the table. Nurturing and selfless, she found true happiness in looking after those she loved. In her free time, she enjoyed relaxing trips to the beach, shopping outings, and faithfully attending services at Fellowship Baptist Church, where her warmth and spirit were a blessing to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Carl Adron Sapp and Donald Sapp.

Sylvia is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 31 years, Keith Barrett, Sr of Adel, GA; children, Reba Montana Barrett of Adel, Ga, Allen Keith “KJ” Barrett, Jr of Lakeland, FL and Lauren Ann Woodall (Austin) of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Makayla Lynn Barrett and Samuel Carter Barrett; siblings, Phyllis Collins (Jimmy) of Bainbridge, GA and Dale Sapp (Elaine) of VA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, February 23, 2026, in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow at Fender Cemetery.
