Sylvia Faye Browning

Sylvia F. Browning, age 59, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, June 12, 2026. She was born in Lakeland, GA on February 1, 1967, to the late Buster and Nettie Allen.

Sylvia graduated from Lanier County Highschool and continued her education at Vo Tech. Sylvie devoted over 25 plus years to the medical field with most of her time at Southern OBGYN.

Sylvia was an incredibly strong and kind woman who always showed unwavering love to everyone she met. She faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, always putting the needs of others above her own. She was known for having a beautiful smile, gentle spirit, and a contagious laugh.

Above all else, she was a loving and devoted mom to her only child McKenzie. She was a loving grandma to her fur babies, Maggie and Bailey. Sylvia had a big heart for animals and was always known to care for the strays.

She found joy in the little things- being with family, sharing stories, and making those around her feel loved. Her resilience and determination inspired everyone who witnessed her journey, and her legacy will continue through the lives she impacted.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bryant Browning; her mother Nettie Allen and father Buster Allen and her two sisters, Vicky Croft and Barbara Allen.

She is survived by her loving daughter, McKenzie Browning of Naylor, GA; siblings, Wayne Allen (Barbara) of Lakeland, GA, Martha Westberry, of Naylor, GA, Eulie Allen of Lakeland, GA, Paul Allen (Robyn) of Lakeland, GA, Beck Harnage (Wesley) of Lakeland, GA, Kathy Bennett (Jimmy) of Stockton, GA, and Mike Allen of Lakeland, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing her suffering has ended and that her love will remain with us always. Her memory will forever be a blessing, and she will never be forgotten.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM, Monday June 15, 2026, at the Good Hope Baptist Church. Visitation will be held the night prior from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Music Funeral Services.
