Sylvia Clanton – 73
Of Valdosta passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 in the South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on December 7, 1947 to the late Joseph & Nita (Bell) Wilson. She was a homemaker and member of Azalea City Church of God. She loved to fish, spend time with her grandkids, cook, go shopping and spend time in the mountains. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: George Clanton and two brothers: Jim Wilson and Tim Wilson.
Survivors include: Son, Joey Clanton and Wife Kathy of Valdosta, Georgia; Son: Jerry Clanton and Wife Trish of Valdosta, Georgia; Son: Jimmy Clanton of Valdosta, Georgia; Daughter: Chrystal Terrell and Husband Morgan of Valdosta, Georgia; Grandchildren: Kasey Harp and Husband Kevin of Valdosta, Georgia, Jamie Clanton, Jessica Clanton of Valdosta, Georgia, Austin Clanton, Ashley Clanton, Cassida Clanton, Josey Clanton, Aaron Clanton, Dalton Terrell, Briar Terrell, Zoie Terrell; Great Grandchild: Kylee Harp and soon to be, Kreed Harp, along with numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 19, 2021 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens, 3901 N. Valdosta Rd., Valdosta, GA 31601. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 between 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
