Of Valdosta passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Lafayette, Indiana on October 25, 1943 to the late Ivan Charles and Alberta Jeanne Mehegan Grenat. He retired after 22 years as a Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Following his service to his country he worked and retired from the civil service after 20 years of service. He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. Mr. Grenat was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William Grenat and John Grenat.
Survivors Include: Wife, Chun Cha Grenat, Valdosta, GA; Daughter and Son-in-law, Tracy & Tony Nicasio, Tucson, AZ; 2 Sons & daughters-in-law, Tony Grenat, Detroit, MI, Steve & Heather Grenat, Valdosta, GA; 3 Grandchildren: David Nicasio, Ethan Grenat and Aniela Grenat; 3 Sisters & Brothers-in-law, Judy & Larry Vanderwielen, Lafayette, IN, Diane & Bob Slaughterbeck, Lafayette, IN, Lisa Vandeventer, Lafayette, IN; Brother & Sister-in-law, David & Jan Grenat, Fort Collins, CO and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Perimeter Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services.
