Tharan Eugene Connell

Tharan Eugene "Gene" Connell , 68, passed away March 28, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, Ga., after a long courageous battle due to cardiac conditions. Gene was born to Tharan Eugene "Buck" Connell and Edwina Connell.
Gene is survived by his brothers, Robert Howard Connell (Patrica) and children, Burt and Jessica; William Greg Connell (Michelle); (and the late Valina Connell) and children, Abram and Sara; Cousins; Charles Jones (Michael), Kin Kinlaw (Marianne), Kathy Hamilton(Rob) and Aunt Sylvia Jones.
Longtime Friends: Jimmy Tillman, Paul DeLoach, Lee Jennings, Taylor Perryman
Gene Enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a skilled cabinet maker. He was also known to have been an avid land survey assistant to his father.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date as Gene wanted his family to enjoy a day at the river in his memory.
The family would like to extend a special gratitude to the staff and chaplain of the SGMC ICU for the expert care given to Gene.
Gene will be greatly missed.
