Theodore "Ted" Bruce, Sr. – 93
Of Valdosta, GA passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at Langdale Hospice House after a brief illness. He was born June 1, 1920 in Birmingham, AL to the late Monroe Harvey and Katherine Rae Marsh Bruce. He was a mason and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Ted was adventurous he enjoyed camping and boating. He retired from U.S. Steel after 47 years of service.
Survivors Include: Wife of 72 years, Frances Bruce, Valdosta, GA; Daughter, Carol Bruce, Valdosta, GA; 4 Sons & Daughters-in-law, Ted Bruce, Jr., Tallahassee, FL, Billy Bruce & Sherry Sirman, Valdosta, GA, Bobby & Cecelia Bruce, Valdosta, GA, Tim & Barbara Bruce, Valdosta, GA; 4 Grandchildren: Andy Bruce, Blake Bruce Brittany, Kate Dean J.T. and Brooke Chaney; 2 Great Grandchildren: Noah and Piper; Brother & Sister-in-law, Bobby & Jo Bruce, Birmingham, AL and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 31, 2014 in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 12:00 P.M to 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
