Thomas "Tom" Bybee

Thomas “Tom” Bybee – 69 of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on July 21, 1952 in Waco, TX to the late Robert C. & Dolores M. (Glover) Bybee. After he completed his PhD at North Dakota State, he worked with BASF Corporation for 20 years. Tom loved being in nature to include: camping, fishing and hiking. He enjoyed the “simple things in life” in traveling the country on his Harley. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Bybee.
Survivors Include: Wife: Patsy S. Bybee, Valdosta; 2 Daughters: Heather Coleman (Mike), St. Paul, MN, Nichole Whitley (Phillip), Hahira, GA; Granddaughters: Hayley Coleman, Braylin Whitley and Ryleigh Whitley; Sister: Barbara McMullan (John), Las Cruces, New Mexico; Brother: Joseph Bybee (Pamela), Lee, IL; Sister-in-law: Katherine Bybee, Byron, IL and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2022 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
