Thomas Ray Cordell

Thomas Ray Cordell, age 69 

On November 16, 2025, Thomas passed this life here on earth. He spent an unwavering amount of time reminiscing about his beloved wife of 40 years, Sandi. He often wrote of all the memories and times they spent until her passing August 4, 2020. Thomas and Sandi loved their many cats and dogs over the years. They longed to move to Georgia. That wish finally came true and Thomas moved here with his daughter, Janie and her husband David Baker. Thomas also has three other children, Angel, Christina, and Debbie. One of Thomas’s favorite pastimes was walking with his grandchildren, Destini, Sissy (Betti), and Jr, (Neal) to the store to buy a fun little snack. He would save his change all year and hand a roll of coins to each child for their enjoyment. In the later years he enjoyed laughing, playing with puzzles and giving a thumbs up to his granddaughter Graci and great-grandson, Drais. Prior to him being ill, Thomas enjoyed playing the lottery, milk shakes, watching Wheel of Fortune, old westerns, Nascar, and collecting Nascar memorabilia. He also found joy in helping others, never met a stranger, and going “junking”. In his younger days, he loved to ride motorcycles. He was proud of his work in floor covering which was a family tradition. He and his siblings, Jimbo, Jackie, Janie, Jerry, and Joe worked alongside their late father, Bucky Cordell (Ginny) doing floor covering for Bucky & Sons Carpet, Fountain, FL throughout the Bay County, FL area.If you feel inclined to give, in Thomas’s memory, please send donations to Pruitt Health Hospice, Chaplin Tommy Bussey (Valdosta, GA) for his continued ministries which was such a blessing to Thomas.
