Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2007 in the Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness. He was born in Brooks County on November 8, 1927 to the late James Jasper & Ruby Cannon Norris. He served in the United States Navy. Following his service to his country he was employed by Snows Laundry, Ernie Paine Used Cars and retired while at SAFT. During his spare time he enjoyed fishing and NASCAR racing. Mr. Norris was a member of Grace Community Chapel, Valdosta, GA. He was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, James, Hugh and Sherwood Norris

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 20, 2007 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Pastor Vernon Eckleberry officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County, GA. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Langdale Hospice House, 2251 Pineview Drive, Valdosta, GA. 31602.
