Of Valdosta Ga, passed away April 26, 2014 in Cherry Lake, FL. He was born October 31, 1948 in Hahira, GA to the late Luther and Esther Pierce. He worked as a commercial truck driver over 30 years. He loved riding four-wheelers, boating, plants, and helping people. He is preceded in death by his wife Sandra Pierce, Son, Kevin Simmons, Grandson, David Pierce and Sisters, Barbara Pierce and Carolyn Pierce.
Survivors Include: 3 Sons & Daughter-in-law: James Simmons, Orlando, Fl., Thomas "Tommy" Pierce Jr., Valdosta, Ga., Charles "Chuck" & Carrie Pierce, Lake Park, Ga.; 7 Grandchildren: Cassandra Simmons, Justin Pierce, Leah Pierce, Casey Waters, Chasity Pierce, Casin Pierce and Carly Pierce; 3 Sisters: Wanda Rumph, Valdosta, Ga., Patricia Zipperer, Valdosta, Ga., Marilyn Roffe, Cherry Lake, Fl.; Brother, Wendell Pierce, Valdosta and a number of Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6 P.M to 8 P.M at the funeral home with cremation to follow. No formal services will be held.
