Of Valdosta, GA passed away at his residence late Saturday afternoon February 11, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born September 18, 1949 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Leslie, Jr. and Mary Alice Shepherd Bridges. He worked with the railroad and as a truck driver before ill health forced his retirement.

Bridges – Valdosta, GA; Daughter – Tammy Bridges – Sparta, MI; Sons and Daughters-in-Law – Todd and Cindy Bridges - Arizona, Chris and Tina Bridges – Hahira, GA, Jay Bridges, Valdosta, GA; 12 Grandchildren; Sister and Brother-in-Law – Sherry and Ron Dodd – El Cajon, CA; Brothers and Sisters-in-Law – Bob and Jodell Bridges – Murrells Inlet, SC; Gary and Debby Lintemuth – Lansing MI, Lary Lintemuth – Lansing, MI; A number of Nieces and Nephews
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday February 16, 2012 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with a private burial with family members only in Indian Hill Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Friday February 17, 2012. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the funeral home.
