Of Ray City, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on March 6, 1948 in Tifton, GA to the late Hood Killian Woody and Nellie Lee Griffin. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother.
Survivors include: Wife, Lavern Shurtleff of Ray City, GA; Daughter, Chloe Sky Shurtleff of Ray City, GA; Brothers, Clyde Woody of Nashville, GA; Donald Woody of Nashville, GA; Several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. His wishes are to be cremated after visitation and no formal services will be held.
