Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in Lakehaven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Berrien County on December 1, 1928 to the late Shelton & Mary Louise Griffin Register. He was Church of God by faith. Mr. Register is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Barker Register and a brother-in-law, M.B. O'Quinn.
Survivors include:Daughters & Sons-in-law, Gail Petroff, Lake Park, GA, Debbie & Jessie Allen, Valdosta, GA, Clara & Robby Brunston, Hahira, GA, Step Son, Charles Bailey, Lula, GA, 7 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, Sisters & Brother-in-law, Jeanette & Bill Wilson, Orange, TX, Ruby Nell O'Quinn, Valdosta, GA, Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Lorey & Idell Register, Valdosta, GA, Grady & Laverne Register, Moultrie, GA
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 30, 2009 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the funeral home.
