of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021. He was born on June 2, 1985 in Greeneville, Tennessee to Michael Robert Lane and Deborah Sue (Dockery) Sumilas. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force where he was an Ammo Troop. He loved playing golf and spending time with his family and friends. Michael was a devoted father and husband.
Survivors include his Wife, Allison Lane of Valdosta, Georgia; Daughter, Madelyn Moore of Valdosta, Georgia; Son, Ryan Lane of Valdosta, Georgia; Mother & Step Father, Debbie Sumilas (David) of Knoxville, Tennessee; Father, Mike Lane of Greeneville, Tennessee; Aunts and Uncles, Mollie Dockery of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Theresa Rollins (Terry) of Greeneville, Tennessee, Terry Dockery (Dawn) of Cleveland, Tennessee, Roger Dockery (Lisa) of Greeneville, Tennessee, Michael Dockery of Johnson City, Tennessee, Sheryl Hogan (Dicky) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jennifer Lane of Nashville, Tennessee; Mother-in-Law, Terri Kratz (Steve) of Ten Mile, Tennessee; Father-in-Law, David Hearn (Karen) of Morristown, Tennessee, he is also survived by his brothers and sisters in arms he had the privilege to serve alongside with.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 5:00 pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the Click Funeral Home Chapel, 11915 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37936. The family will receive friends immediately following services until 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 28, 2021 in the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E.
