Vaughan Edmondson 58
Of Barney passed away Friday, February 9, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born in Hahira, GA on February 5, 1949 to the late William J. and Wilma Lacey Edmondson, Jr. He worked with the Civil Service as a computer analyst for 31 years in Virginia and Germany. Following his retirement he and his wife, Mary moved back to the family farm in Barney. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Barney where he served as Deacon, Choir Director and Assistant Sunday School Teacher. In his free time he enjoyed photography, Fishing and working on family and friends computers.
Survivors Include: Wife of 29 years, Mary Edmondson, Barney, GA, 2 Sons, Andrew Edmondson, Harrisonburg, VA, Daniel Edmondson, Thomasville, GA; 3 Sisters & Brothers-in-law, Judy & Bobby Sullins, Rome, GA, Linda & Bobby Gunter, Thomasville, GA, Mary Edmondson, Valdosta, GA; 2 Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Bill & Janet Edmondson, Barney, GA, Larry & Ronda Edmondson, Valdosta; Special Great Niece, Ana Laci Edmondson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 12, 2007 in the Friendship Baptist Church in Barney with the Rev. Earl Justice officiating. Burial followed in the Campground Cemetery in Morven. No formal visitation will be held.
Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the Edmondson family.
