passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on August 12, 1935 in Williamston, NC to George Robert and Effie Juanita Coltrain Silverthorne. She was a member and attended Crossroads Baptist Church. She was a kind, giving woman who loved shopping, cooking and watching game shows. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Carroll.
Her survivors include her
Daughters & Son-in-Law, Mary Beth & Eric Sharp of Valdosta, GA, Trish Matthews of Louisiana; 5 Grandchildren: Jeff Carroll, Chris Carroll Katherine, Corey Carroll, Courtney Martinez, Kalen Gould; 10 Great Grandchildren; 2 Brothers; 2 Sisters and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM on Sunday, January 23, 2014 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services in Valdosta, GA with burial to follow in New Bethel Church Cemetery.
