Of Lakeland, GA passed away Thursday afternoon, July 1, 2004 in Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center following a lengthy illness. She was born March 30, 1915 in Dowling Park, Fl to Maude Jane Rickerson Simpson and Luther B. Simpson. She moved to Lakeland at the age of 6 months where she remained most of her life. She married Morris Lee White of Telfair County, GA on October 16, 1936 and they owned and operated White’s Cleaners for 25 years. She was an active member of the Eastern Star, was a past Worthy Matron and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris, their son, Freddie Lee and her brother, Arlon Lee Simpson.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Sue “Patsy” White Bryant and Odis Jerald “Jerry” Bryant of Quinlan, TX; grandsons, Brett Morrison Bryant and wife Barbara of San Diego, CA; Kenneth Ashely Bryant and wife Mary, of Quinlan, TX; and Jerald Todd Bryant and wife Elizabeth of Palm Harbor, FL; great grandson, Anthony Cullen Bryant of Bonita, CA; great granddaughter Holly Ann Bryant, great grandson, Joseph Lee Bryant, Palm Harbor, FL; 2 sisters, Marjorie Simpson Kilpatrick of Conyers, GA; Wylodine Simpson Lewis of Decatur, GA; sisters-in-law, Maggie White Bowen and Jimmie White Jackson and husband, Roy Jackson of Tifton, GA; Frances White of Jonesboro, GA and Mary Sue Taylor Simpson of Lakeland, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2004 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery.
