Of Statenville passed away Monday, December 29, 2008 in South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was born on December 30, 1925 in Echols County, GA to the late James Walter, Sr. and Ola Estell Eddy Permenter. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Echols County Senior Citizens Center and she loved to fish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Henderson, two children, sisters, Ruby Davis, Carrie Henderson, Minnie Rice, and Ethel Stone Dasher, brother, Woodrow Permenter, sons-in-law, George Bert, Sr., Eddie H. Joyce and John B. Carver.
Survivors include:Daughters & Son-in-law, Sharon Joyce, Statenville, GA, Lynn & Curtis Folsom, Statenville, GA, 5 Grandchildren, Wendy Blackwell Steve, George Bert, Jr., Lena Joyce Coppage Jeffrey, Jonathan Carver Darla, Ashlee Justice Chris, 9 Great Grandchildren: Caitlin, Davis, Savannah Blackwell, Olivia, Beau, Amelia Coppage, Country, Gracie Carver, and Sierra Justice, Sister & Brother-in-law, Iduma & David Smith, Madison, FL, Brother, Walter Permenter, Jr., Valdosta, GA, 3 Special Friends, Mildred McLane, Fannie Staten, Margaret Shear, and a number of Nieces and Nephews
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 2, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Macedonia Baptist Church
with the Rev. Wayne Boykin and Rev. Jim Countryman officiating. Burial will follow in Statenville City Cemetery. Mrs. Henderson will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the funeral home.
