Verma S. Partin – 88
Of Lakeland, GA passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on December 11, 1931 in Hazelhurst, GA to the late Charlie & Frances (Keene) Seebeck. Verma was a devoted member of Pleasant Way Baptist Church as long as health permitted. At the age of 19 she began cutting hair and continued until she was 84. There are no telling how many “1st” haircuts she gave. When she was not at the beauty parlor, she could be found working in the yard, watching the birds and tending to her flowers. Ms. Verma was a strong, independent woman and would give the shirt off of her back. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Partin; brother, W.L. Seebeck; sister, Mary Maddox & son-in-law, Frank Palerino.
Survivors Include: 3 Daughters & Son-in-law: Beverly Palerino, Lakeland, Sharon & Buzzy Kight, Lakeland, Pamela Partin, Lakeland; Grandchildren: Natalie Davis (Craig) of Albany, GA, Nathan Palerino of Grove Town, GA, Cary Kight (Erika) of Homerville, Travis Kight (Holly) of Homerville, Kelly Littleton (Blakely) of Lakeland; 12 Great Grandchildren; Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Betty Ramirez (Al Merriman), New Braunfels, TX, Rosalyn Rogers (Roy), St. Simons, GA, Joyce Smith (Lloyd), Corpus Christi, TX; Sisters-in-law: Annette Harrell (Leon), Ray City, GA, Ann Partin, Sunrise, FL and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A viewing will be held from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Private family services will be live streamed on the Music Funeral Services Facebook page at 2:00 PM on Sunday September 13, 2020. The option to call and have your family name added to the guest book is available as well. Public Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
