Vernon Maloney – 81
Of Hahira, GA passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 6, 1938 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Virgil Maloney and Alvera Dawson. He was a Vietnam veteran who served 26 years in the United States Airforce where later retired. He enjoyed golfing with friends, bowling with his bowling family and taking Mrs. Beth out on fishing trips. He was grateful for his family at St Barnabas Episcopal church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 2 former spouses, Joann Maloney and Edna Maloney; 4 brothers and step-son, Dennis Maloney.
Survivors include: Wife, Beth Maloney of Hahira, GA; Step-daughter, Debra Lynn Rapheal of Jacksonville, FL; Step-daughter and Son-in-law, Debbie and Jamie Hreha of Marietta, GA; Step-son, James Wetherington and Ross Decker of Atlanta, GA; Brother and Sister-in-law, Tim and Faith Maloney of Los Angeles, CA; 3 step-grandchildren: Marybeth, Joey and Matthew
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
