Vernon Roberts

Vernon F. Roberts, 82, of Naylor, GA passed away Tuesday March 24, 2015 at Lake Haven Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness. He was born March 18, 1933 in Nashville, GA to the late Jessie & Willie Mae Benefield Roberts. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Lou Roberts and daughter Janice Ann Moore. He was a mechanic and is retired from the City of Homerville. He restored Farmal tractors and played the fiddle.


Survivors include: Daughter; Wanda Ted Moore: Jennings, FL, Daughter;Kathy Robbie Walker: Lake Park, GA, 8 Grandchildren: Dena Sirmans Harlan, Jenny Blanton Brian,
Mandy Cook Jammie, Kenton Moore Loriana, Jimbo Lloyd Christa, Joe Lloyd Erica,
Jenny Nobles, Sayl Veal, 17 Great Grandchildren, Brother & Sister in Law;Denver Louise Roberts, Brother; Everett Roberts, & Several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

A celebration of life will be Saturday March 28, 2015 with Wanda and Kathy receiving friends and family at Ricky and Vickie Robert's Picking House at 6448 Old Naylor Rd. at 4:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held Sunday March 29, 2015 at 2:00 at Shiloh Methodist Church in Homerville, GA.
