Virgie Corbitt Harrell

of Lakeland passed away early Friday evening October 2, 2009 in the Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center in Lakeland after a long illness. She was born November 1, 1921 in Atkinson County, GA and had lived on Banks Lake since 1923. She was a very gifted, talented, and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her Father Henry Welburn Corbitt, Mother Rhoda Alice Mainor and husband Murray Webb Harrell. She was a member of the Lakeland United Methodist Church. Survivors include 2 Daughters and One Son-in-Law. Sue and Al Barnes, Alice Harrell all of Lakeland. Grandchildren David and Lynn Berryhill of Lakeland, Suzanne and David Smith of Laurel, MS, Junior and Jami Barnes of Austin, TX, and Russell and Janice Barnes of Zephryhills, FL; Great Grandchildren Zachary Berryhill of Lakeland, Taylor Smith, Laurel, MS, Drew Barnes, Ellen Barnes, Nichole Barnes, and Christen Barnes all of Austin TX, John and Angie Owens, Jr. and Jennifer Owens of Lakeland. One Sister-in-Law Oleta Giddens of Lakeland and one Brother-in-Law Homer Spells of Lowndes County, GA and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday October 5, 2009 in the Lakeland United Methodist Church with burial in Springhead Cemetery in Atkinson County, GA.
