Of Ray City, GA passed away Sunday Morning Jan. 28, 2007 in South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta following a lengthy illness. He was born and lived in Berrien County GA most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents Bige and Essie Mae Rogers Ray, and brothers Clayton and Jimmy Ray. He was in the construction business and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Bemiss Road Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA
Survivors Include: Son, Richard Ray, Tampa, FL; Daughter, Donna Ray, Tampa, FL; 6 Grandchildren; Sisters, Virginia Dales, Ray City, GA, Betty Summerlin, Nashville, GA; Brothers, Eddie Ray, Hilliard, FL, William Ray, Hilliard, FL and a number of Nieces and Nephews
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 31, 2007 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Dr. Danny Edwards officiating. Burial followed in Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City, GA.
