Of Alapaha, Georgia passed away on Saturday December 19, 2020 in the Tift Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 22, 1945 in Statenville, Georgia to the late Myrtice (Harris) and Richard Lee Brantley. Virginia was a homemaker and worked on the farm alongside her husband. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Tharon King and brother, Robert Brantley.
Survivors include her Daughters: Joann Hancock and husband Craig of Alapaha, GA, Judy Sapp of Alapaha, GA; Grandchildren: Justin Hancock (Casey), Kristen Overstreet (Cody), Dylen Dorminey (Courtney); Great Grandchildren: Jenna Blake, Skylar, Gracin, Addie Rae, Kayden, Wyatt, Aiyden, Michael; Sisters: Mary Culpepper (Bo) of Ray City, GA, Helen Turner (Frank) of Valdosta, GA, Barbara Brantley of Valdosta, GA; Brothers: Charlie Brantley (Kathy) of Valdosta, GA, Raymond Brantley of Valdosta, GA, Roy Brantley of Valdosta, GA; Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Flat Creek Cemetery in Nashville, GA. Kind messages and memories may be left to the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
