She was a member of Pleasant Way Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Mixson Cowart, a Brother, Grover Register, Sisters, Anna Laura Lightsey & Sarah Frances Davis, Son-in-Law, Doyle Delk and a Granddaughter, Melissa Delk.
Her survivors include Son & Daughter-in-Law, J. Mixon & Susan Cowart of Loganville, GA; Daughter, Linda Delk of Brandon, FL; Daughter& Son-in-Law, Lillie & Worth Williams of Brandon, FL; Adopted Son, Osei Kwarteng of Germantown, MD; 5 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; Sisters-in-Law, Grace Register of Riverview, FL, Carolyn Harrell of Lakeland, FL; and Several Nieces & Nephews & extended family members.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Lakeland Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Burnt Church Cemetery.
