Of Valdosta passed away Monday September 20, 2004 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Dupont, GA on September 6, 1928 to the late Willard Willis & Grace Fiveash Dame. He served in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Valdosta High School and Valdosta State University. Mr. Dame was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 22, 2004 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with the Rev. Mary Hemmer officiating. Per Mr. Dames wishes he will be cremated following the services. Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the Dame family.
