Of Live Oak, Florida passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born on June 22, 1945 in Clinch County, GA to the late Dewey & Jewell Griffis. He was Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 26, 2006 in Edith Baptist Church in Fargo, GA with burial following in Ramah Cemetery in Clinch County, GA. Mr. Griffis will be placed in the church one hour prior to service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, March 25, 2006 in Edith Baptist Church in Fargo, GA.
