Wallace Mitchell Clanton

Of Lakeland, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 at his residence. He was born October 12, 1962 in Portsmouth, VA to Wallace and Margaret Wilson Clanton. He attended Lanier County Schools where he was a member of the woodwind section of the band and played baseball for the Lanier County Bulldogs. Family and friends remember his great sense of humor, his many acts of kindness, and the joy he felt by just being in his presence. He truly was "one of a kind, the best kind." Mitchell was an electrician by trade and worked for All Star Electric for many years. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Clanton."I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:78

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 -11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010.
