Wallace Webster Shiver – 73
Of Lakeland, GA passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at his residence. He was born on September 23, 1942 in Morven, GA to the late Webster and Juanita Phillips Shiver. He worked with the Lakeland Police Department, Lanier County Sheriff's Department for a number of years and retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections. Mr. Shiver served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Browning Shiver.
Survivors include: Sons& Daughters-in-Law, Ricky & Michelle Shiver of Lakeland, GA, Sonny Shiver of Lakeland, GA, Tracy & Traci Shiver of Naylor, GA; Daughters & Sons-in-Laws, Anita Dawson, Sandra & Keith Courson of Lakeland, GA, Lynn& Pete Novak of Americus, GA; 6 Grandchildren; Sister, Ruth Hutchins of Monticello, GA and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fender Cemetery.
