Walter Maxwell Livingston, Jr., age 78, of Lakeland, Georgia, passed away, Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center, Lanier Campus. He was born April 14, 1943 in Homerville, Georgia to the late Emily Jenelle O’Quinn Livingston and Walter Maxwell Livingston, Sr. Walter enjoyed fishing and could be counted on as “Always being right”. He was self-employed in Construction and Restoration. He was a Coach, Umpire and Park Director with the City of Lakeland, where he was very involved in his boy’s youth games and activities. He managed the Ford Farm where he built the Ford Farm Cabin, Patten Cabin. He was also a Mason. He was a loving husband, dad, granddad and great-granddad. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Britton Livingston and one brother, Ronald Van Livingston, Sr.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-nine years, Dorothy Fulgham Livingston, Lakeland, Georgia, and his children: Jonathan Maxwell Livingston and wife Wendy of Lakeland, Nicole L. Elkins and husband Greg of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, Joseph Brenden Livingston and wife Whitney of Lakeland, Georgia and Walter Kevin Livingston of Slidell, LA; seven grandchildren: Emily Ann, Molly, Kennedy, Josie, Marley, Brennen and Kristen; one great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Watts; a sister, Lawanna L. Horton of Ringgold, Georgia; special close friend, Mike Branch and wife Shelia of Stockton, Georgia; several special nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 11 O’clock AM, Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Music Funeral Services, Lakeland. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
