Walter Ezbon Montgomery – 80

Of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Clinch Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 30, 1946, in Hahira, Georgia, to the late Elwood Ezbon Montgomery and Ava Nell Bullard Montgomery.

Walter was the founder of Montgomery Plumbing. He dedicated 25 years of his life to working alongside his brother as a Master Plumber, earning the respect of those who knew him for his hard work, skill, and dependability. He was an avid racing enthusiast who especially enjoyed watching races, and he loved spending time hunting and fishing whenever he had the opportunity. One of his greatest joys was dancing with his beloved wife of 31 years, Brenda, creating cherished memories together.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Williams.

Walter is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Kay Montgomery of Valdosta, Georgia; his children, Kristin Rothrock (Rocky) of Hahira, Georgia, Glenda Singletary of Valdosta, Georgia, and Betty Singletary of Orlando, Florida; his cherished grandchildren, Ava Rothrock, Ali Rothrock, and Kinadi Singletary; his brother, Wayne Montgomery (Vicky) of Dasher, Georgia; his sister, Wanda Pittman (Kevin) of Valdosta, Georgia; his special friend, Lee McKinney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta with burial to follow in Copeland Cemetery, Valdosta. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, August 3, 2026 at the funeral home.
