Wauldeen Newbern – 75
Of Waycross, GA passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Satilla Hospice House in Waycross. She was born on September 6, 1943 in Lakeland, GA to the late Fred Pruitt and Inez (Carter) Pruitt. She worked at Texture Tex in Valdosta for over 20 years and was a clerk at Pogo Foods. She enjoyed playing the lottery, drinking coke and loved animals. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 Brothers, Curtis Pruitt, Earl Pruitt and Kenny Pruitt and 2 Sisters, Myra Boyd and Christine Cain.
Survivors include, 2 Daughters and Son-in-law, Deena Newbern of Waycross, GA, Alisa and Hal Foreman of Blackshear, GA; 3 Sons and Daughters-in-law, Charles and Mary Newbern of Valdosta, GA, Timothy and Patricia Newbern of Nashville, GA, James and Dana Newbern of Valdosta, GA; 15 Grandchildren; 32 Great Grandchildren; Brother, John Pruitt of Lakeland, GA; 3 Sisters and Brother-in-law, Evelyn Bennett of Adel, GA, Martha Jean and Billy Harris of Nashville, GA, Diane Montague of Valdosta, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 22, 2019 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Fender Cemetery.
