Wendell “Crow” Green, 72 of Tifton, Georgia left for his forever fishing trip surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, April 14, 2022 after battling with a serious health issue. Wendell better known as “Crow” was born on November 10, 1949 to the late Winton and Annie Mae Green in Adel, Georgia. After high school, he set forth upon many adventures that eventually led to a successful career in the construction industry. He owned and operated Crow Green Construction for many years which was his life’s work, pride and joy. Crow was very passionate about his family and was known to be quite the fisherman. He enjoyed sharing this passion with his friends and family. When not working, he could be found aboard the “Annie Mae” (his boat) in Keaton Beach, Florida doing what he loved. Anyone who knew Crow, knew that he was the most loving and generous father to his children. Along with his parents he preceded in death by brothers Randall and Clinton Green.
Survivors include his sons; Tracey (Elise) Green of Lake Park, Georgia, Scot (Valerie) Green of St. Augustine, Florida, Cory Green of Naylor, Georgia and daughter; Brittney Green of Tifton, Georgia, five grandchildren, one great grandchild and three siblings; Shirley Nadeau of Blythe, Georgia, Jeanette Marcellino of Ellijay, Georgia and Judy McCraw of Peachtree City, Georgia.
Memorialization will be by cremation and a celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00am at Union Grove Church of God 4144 US Hwy 41 South, Tifton, Georgia 31794. The family will receive friends following the service at Mr. Green's residence located at 305 Vanceville Road, Tifton, Georgia 31794.
