Wentworth J. “Parker” Jr. – 76
Of Valdosta, GA passed away suddenly on Monday, May 7, 2018 doing what he loved. He was born on October 4, 1941 in Clinton, NC to the late Wentworth James Parker, Sr. and Sallie Belle (Blackburn) Parker. Mr. Parker was a decorated war veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Ranger in the Vietnam War. He was a retired Sanitation Supervisor of Crackin Good Bakeries.
Survivors include: Deloris Parker, Wife of 51 years of Valdosta, GA; Katherine and Karl Wassmuth, Daughter and Son-in-law of Lake Park, GA; Carl and Cathy Parker, Son and Daughter-in-law of Lakeland, GA; Kim Parker (Jim Martin), Daughter of Lakeland, GA; Loria and Keith Gaedchens, Daughter and Son-in-law of Baytown, Texas; Grandchildren: Kimberly and Brian Otero, Christopher Delrossi, Sean Wassmuth, Scott Culbreth, Kyle Parker, Collin Parker, Kendal Parker, Cara Parker, Megan Jowers, Morgan and Christian Martin, and Tommy Goodman; Great Grandchildren: Cayden and Naddia; 4 Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Ann Mathis of Clinton, NC; Linda and Harry Faircloth of Goldsboro, NC; Kathy and Jamie Little of Clinton, NC; Sally and Brian DeMay of Clinton, NC; Nancy and Greg Sellers, Sister-in-law of Columbus, GA; Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Vision Church with burial to follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at
