Of LaVergne, TN passed away Thursday August 5, 2004 in Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN following a heart attack. He was born in Albany, GA and was raised in Valdosta, GA. were he attended school at Valdosta High and college at Georgia Southern in Statesboro, GA. Mr. Royal was a volunteer with LaVergne rescue squad. His mother, Sara Ben Freeman Royal, preceded him in death.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 7, 2004 in Sunset Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jack Johnson of Murfreesboro, TN. officiating.
